NBA's Nuclear Winter
Thinking about switching some of my avatars around with these:
Fuck you lockout. Owners AND Players. You are ruining so many people's lives right now. Grow up.

Players Reject Offer
So the players disband the union and are seeking to file an anti-trust lawsuit on the NBA. Awesome. Well it looks like the hopes of having a season are completely diminished. Thanks for putting the players in this situation Stern with your shitty ultimatum. From Mike Monroe, NBA beat reporter, "Stern can blame union but he is the one who said: 'There comes a time when you have to be through negotiating, and we are.'” You said you were done negotiating last week?!?! Now the players say they are done. Why can't they decide to stop negotiating with your greedy ass? Go to hell everybody. This is bullshit and stressing me out WAYYY too much!

Well here's the NBA's PR campaign via Twitter
Stern & Silver did a Q&A with Twitter land and responded to a handful of tweets. Mostly NBA players and analysts' questions were addressed, not really answered that well!?!?! Here it is:

@NBA Why kill the season for tax/cap rules when spending & competitive balance are not related? Add #financialfairplay clause & be done.

Thank you for participating. There is a fair deal on the table that will allow the season to start on December 15.
.@Lakeshow31 Every team will have least 500 tickets for $10 or less for every game this season
.@Mrljd05 All league executives are taking pay cuts in addition to over 300 job cuts across the league
.@darrenrovell NBA would suffer enormous losses with no season; losses much greater without a fair agreement
.@mcten Teams suffering enormous losses; no choice but to recover if season does not start soon.
.@kevincote Spending & competitive balance are closely related. A fair agreement deals with both.

.@kc1nyk Minimum age is subject to further discussion with union; amnesty excludes a waived players’ salary from his team’s cap
.@pwinfield24 Smaller MLE for taxpayers is not about the money, it's about competitive balance
.@BimaThug Tax calculation in year 3: 53.5% of BRI, subtract player benefits, divide by 30: projected at $74 mill

.@mavndgooner We want a system where all 30 teams regardless of market size can compete for a championship

.@DwyaneWade The economics & system favored the players in prior CBA -- Teams lost over 300m last year
.@gostu22 Max salary will be $20 mill in year 3: higher maxes would take money from other players especially middle class
.@spencerhawes00 Teams are group being criticized for trying to raise avg salaries from $5 mill to $8 mill & provide for better competition
